We keep this simple and honest. Here is exactly what we do with your information when you order from us.
Who we are
DE Craft Studio is a small, independent South African gift studio. We are not a registered business entity. We make personalised, made-to-order gifts and ship them nationwide across South Africa.

What information we collect
When you place an order, we collect the following:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (used for WhatsApp contact if needed)
- Your delivery address
- Any photos or personalisation details you upload for your order
We do not collect payment card or banking details. All payments are handled securely by PayFast, and we never see or store your payment information.
How we use your information
We use your email address only to send you order confirmations and updates, such as dispatch notifications and tracking details. We do not send marketing emails.
We contact you on WhatsApp only when we need additional information about your order. For example, if an uploaded image is too low-resolution for a quality print, or if we need to clarify your personalisation details before we start production.
Delivery address
Your delivery address is shared with our courier partners (The Courier Guy and PAXI) solely for the purpose of delivering your order.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
- We do not use your contact details for marketing or promotions.
- We do not share your information with any third party other than our couriers and PayFast, and only to fulfil your order.
How long we keep your information
We retain your order details for as long as is reasonably necessary to handle any queries, returns, or reprints related to your order. If you would like your information removed, contact us and we will do so where possible.
Your rights under POPIA
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to how we use your information

Cookies
Our website uses a session cookie to manage your checkout process. This cookie is temporary, stored only in your browser during your session, and contains no personal information. It is deleted when your session ends.
